We welcome your observations, questions, and corrections. The catalogue is maintained by a catalogue workflow, and every message helps improve the library for all readers. Below are the most common reasons to write, along with guidance on what to include so that your report can be handled efficiently.
When to contact us
- Metadata corrections — If a title, author name, or category placement appears incorrect. For example, a book listed under “Fantasy Juvenile Worlds” that belongs in “Historical Psychological Social Fiction,” or a reading companion such as The defender — Context and Discussion that has a wrong subtitle.
- Source link or catalogue issues — If a Project Gutenberg source link is unavailable, or if a catalogue page contains a broken link or display problem, please let us know.
- Accessibility problems — If the text lacks proper heading structure, has insufficient contrast, or presents other barriers for assistive technology users.
- Privacy questions — If you have concerns about how your data is handled when you browse or download books.
- Copyright or rights concerns — If you believe a work in the catalogue may not be in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights to a listed title and wish to discuss its inclusion.
- General editorial observations — Suggestions for new categories, additional context, or corrections to the editorial notes that accompany titles such as A millionaire at sixteen — Themes and Context or Nora's twin sister — Themes and Context.
What to include in your message
To help us act on your report, please provide as many of the following details as possible:
- The exact page URL where the issue appears.
- The exact ebook title and, if applicable, the edition or reading companion name (e.g., Little Button Rose — Story, Setting & Ideas).
- The file format you tried to download or read.
- Your device model, operating system, and browser name and version.
- A clear description of the problem: what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
- If the issue involves copyright or rights, any supporting information you can share (such as a publication date or rights holder name).
How we handle your message
Each report is reviewed individually. Metadata corrections are typically applied within a few days, while file or accessibility issues may require more investigation. If we need additional details, we will reply to the email address you provided. For copyright concerns, we will acknowledge receipt and, if necessary, remove the disputed title pending further review. We do not share your contact information with third parties.
